Our Story

Able Nation came about to fulfill the need for church, school and civic group security. We spoke with many schools and churches to find out what they were doing to secure their people. We all agreed that the safety of our children and families was critical, but many did not have the funds necessary for the training. We began by donating time and financial support. The concept grew as others heard about our efforts. In June of 2018,  we formed Able Nation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, to raise the funds for security training and education, material donations (medical kits and protective vests), and the donation of security protection at events.

What We Do

Testimonials

The opportunities provided to me through Able Nation have not only allowed me to experience the world from an adult’s perspective, but also to develop my situational awareness so I can succeed in future endeavors beyond high school. Through their generous scholarship funds, I have been able to explore new interests, establish new connections with people from a far different demographic than my own, and progressively expand my ability to defend myself and others. Able Nation is dedicated to helping individuals like myself acquire new skills in order to better protect those around them.

Ensuring security teams are properly trained and equipped is a difficult and costly endeavor, especially to church’s and non-profits.  Able Nation is a tremendous non-profit that helped my church, Grace Chapel, receive the training it needed through the Able Shepherd program.  With the help of Able Nation, we were able to send a large number of people in my Security Team through the POP class with Able Shepherd.   Many of the people who attended the POP class, also decided to continue with the rest of the Able Shepherd program, which I am very thankful for.  We are extremely thankful for the help they have been and the Able Shepherd program.

Business Director and Security Lead, Grace Chapel

I would just like to say on behalf of Kings Way Christian Academy including our staff, parents and children, thank you to Able Nation for being the leader in making our school a safer place to learn. Without an organization like Able Nation I am not sure how places like a school would know or understand the importance of specific safety measures that you have recommended and provided to us. Thank you and God Bless Able Nation!

Board Chairman, Kings Way Christian Academy

Neil Pinkham

When I attended the opening of the Active Shooters Response Training Center (ASRTC) in April of 2016, I was instantly hooked; both to the training and Jimmy Graham. Over the next year I began to assist with more functions such as improving the safety and security of elementary schools. Jimmy and I would donate time, money, and material; but we were limited.  Since there was so much more to do, we needed to find help. This is what lead us to create Able Nation, a 501c3 with a mission of helping schools, churches, and civic groups. In our first year we accomplished a lot, and we are excited about the future.
